I'm learning German and I know how to speak a little bit. Who here is learning German and needs help practicing? Who here knows the language fluently and wants to help me and others practice? This thread is for us because Deutsch ist die Kraft Sprache!

Hallo Megan! Wilkommen an das thema! Hi Megan, welcome to the thread! If you have any questions like "how do you say this? Did I spell this correctly?" etc. Feel free to post them here and we can all help each other practice or übung as they say. I use ASCII codes to make German letters like alt+0252 for ü or alt+0223 for ß. If you'd like to learn more of those, feel free to ask me also. Bis später! That means see you later!

We did a little bit of German in fourth grade, because my fourth grade teacher was real into it. It's a cool language. I hardly remember any of it. I just remember it was cool. My dad knows it, although he's not fluent anymore, because he's gotten all out of practice. Lol.

Hey Megan! What's up? I think that's awesome!! Foreign languages rock!!! The semester just ended and I was taking German 1 and it was awesome!!! Foreign languages are like my life. I was taking German 1 last semester, and I'm taking Spanish 4 this semester. I love Spanish!!! I'm pretty fluent in it. I love watching TV in Spanish, and I have some friends who speak Spanish fluently. One of my friends is Cuban, so I've learned a lot from her. I can understand it a lot better than I can speak it. Everyone says that I have a really authentic sounding accent. I've told some people that I speak Spanish, and they're always like "Are you Hispanic?" And I'm like "No, I wish." Lol. I have a really good memory, so learning foreign languages is really easy for me. If any one needs help with Spanish, or they speak Spanish, or they just wanna chat, feel free to PM me, or email me, or add me to you're AIM or Yahoo buddy list. I'm on AIM a lot; I'm hardly ever on Yahoo, but you can always PM me, or email me. All my contact info is in my profile so... Bye, adios, saioonara, tschues! Lol.

That's awesome Chels! German and Spanish! Triple threat, if you count English, which I do! Lol! And if you know braille, that could count too! Right? Lol! And you are blind right? So I'm sure you knwo braille. Lol. Now I'm going blank as to whether or not you're blind? I think you are though. Ah well...

Post 14 by Chels666 (I can't call it a day til I enter the zone BBS) on Monday, 24-Jan-2005 21:01:46

Yeah. lol I know Braille too!!! Booyah! Lol. Ok, I have no idea why I just said that, because it sounded really stupid. Lol. I'm not totally blind. I have some vission. I can see light, colors, shapes, and some details if it's close enough to my face. Lol. What about you. I can see the TV if I sit really really close to it, but I mostly rely on my trusty ears. Lol.
